Flowplayer contest winners are here. Jan 5, 2009

Congratulations to the Contest Winners!

Our contest for the "most creative use of Flowplayer" is now officially closed and here is the list of the winning entries. These are not in any particular order and each of these are awarded with a free Commercial license.

Wordpress plugin by Buzz

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/word-press-flow-player/

Flowplayer 3.0 integration to the wordpress blogging software. Everyone with a wordpress blog can now easily integrate Flowplayer with their blog. Almost 300 downloads already. A very good entry on the contest.

Advertising solution by LiamGooding

http://www.fightnightlive.co.uk/video-55/fight-2/

This page has a "home made" advertisement solution achieved with innovative use of the Flowplayer API. The advertisement is placed under the canvas coupled with a pre-roll video ad. The content plugin is used to tell the user when the featured fighting video starts. A good example of Flowplayer scripting.

Eye candy by Timothy Bakland

This one won purely because of it's good looks. Nice controlbar skinning together with fiercy red overlays. The Expose tool is used to further enhance the experience. You can see that having a custom image on the overlay is a very powerful way to visualize your pages.

Suppose this means I better get 2.0.1.0 out soon at the very least :-)

I'll also get playing with ffmpeg again so expect a new innovation soon.

Cheers

Buzz :-)
