We are happy to announce that Flowplayer version 3.0.6 is out. This is mainly a maintenance-release but we included some new features too.
You can now associate a link to the player canvas. This makes it possible to show ads in the player canvas. You could show an interactive Flash ad or an image in the background so that the video area takes only a part of the larger canvas. There will soon be demos to showcase this, but check out heavy.com to get an idea how this can be used.
We have new bug fix releases of the playlist JavaScript plugin, flashembed Flash embedding tool and jquery.scrollable.
Then we have new versions of the controlbar and pseudostreaming Flash plugins fixing some issues that were found by our users. Especially the pseudostreaming plugin has important fixes if you are using it to stream H.264 encoded videos.
This week jquery.scrollable has received a lot of attention in the Web. It has been featured in several sites, including webappers.com, dzone.com, and visual-blast.com. As a result our jquery.scrollable page has received around 4000 pageviews each day!
