Media companies are joining the Flowplayer Era
We are proud to announce two new plugins: The MediaMelon multisource streaming plugin and the Adotube advertising plugin. These will make the Flowplayer offering more complete in the areas of in-stream video advertising and video delivery.
MediaMelon Multisource streaming plugin
MediaMelon has partnered with several Content Delivery Networks (CDN) and the Flowplayer plugin provides connectivity to those. It automatically selects the best performing CND based on the user's location!
This plugin also provides for safety - if a CND fails it connects to another one and the video is delivered from there. This is needed especially if you have a large audiences, for example if you were broadcasting the Olympics. In these cases several CDNs are needed to satisfy the bandwidth demand. We're also told that MediaMelon has competitive prices so we urge you to check them out even if you don't have such high bandwidth or safety requirements!

AdoTube Advertising Plugin
Adotube specializes in rich interactive overlays. The Adotube plugin supports multiple pre-, mid- and post-roll ads, and multiple companions per ad. The overlays can be interactive. The plugin is also Open Source and released under the MIT license.
We now have two advertising companies offering their services: LiveRail and Adotube.
