We are proud to announce two new plugins: The MediaMelon multisource streaming plugin and the Adotube advertising plugin. These will make the Flowplayer offering more complete in the areas of in-stream video advertising and video delivery.

We are happy to announce that Flowplayer version 3.0.6 is out. This is mainly a maintenance-release but we included some new features too.You can now associate a link to the player canvas. This makes it possible to show ads in the player canvas. You could show an interactive Flash ad or an image in the background so that the video area takes only a part of the larger canvas. There will soon be demos to showcase this, but check out heavy.com to get an idea how this can be used.

Both jquery.overlay and jquery.expose has undergone a massive update. Rewritten source code, documentation and a new demo section for both tools. Some highlighst include
- totally new scripting api
- ability to overlay multiple elements at once
- ability to customize the exposing mask
- start and end position of the overlay can be customized
