Flowplayer website has been using a Content Delivery Network for serving static files for quite a while now. This means that our site is loading fast no matter where our customers are globally. We get this service from a superb CDN provider called Simple CDN. Unlike other CDN providers out there Simple CDN offers significant benefits.Flowplayer 3.0.5 is out!
Feb 3, 2009 by tipiirai
This release of Flowplayer is all about stability and important background work. The Free version is now fully GPL compliant. Commercial versions support unlimited nested subdomains on the domain name. We also have new versions of following tools and pluginstools- flashembed 1.0.0
- flowplayer.playlist 3.0.3
- flowplayer.embed 3.0.1
NOTE. This version was 3.0.4 for one hour and it contained one fairly critical bug that caused embed and playlist plugins to fail in certain configurations. Please upgrade to 3.0.5 if you managed to get this 3.0.4. Sorry for this hazzle.
Flowplayer IRC channel
Feb 2, 2009 by Anssi
There's a new IRC channel where you can chat live with Flowplayer users. I've been hanging there for the past two days now and so far we've had 2-3 people concurrently on-line there. In hope to get more of you interested I'm posting the news here.
It's at irc://irc.freenode.net/flowplayer
We already have a IRC bot you can use to search this site (thanks Buzz!) - you'll get the instructions when joining the channel. Then you can use this pastebin to post code examples (thanks wmfx!). After pasting the code just send the link to the IRC channel so the users can see the pasted code.
This could be great for people who are looking for instantaneous communication and support.
