Events only run in certain environments

Posted: Mar 8, 2010

I have a player that utilizes the onStart event. When running on my local or web server, the onStart script never fires. However, when I deploy it to another server, it does work. This happens with practically any event I attempt to use.

Does anyone know of any specific factors which might influence the events firing on one server but not another? Any help or something that could point me in the right direction is appreciated. We are using an fms server to stream the videos, if that helps.

How do you embed the player? Do you use the flowplayer.js script? In any case the allowScriptAccess setting needs to be enabled when embedding.

I do use the flowplayer.js script. Using firebug to check the parameters of the embedded player, I can see that the allowScriptAccess parameter is set to "always", so I don't think that's the issue. It works in certain environments with no change other than what server I put it on, so I don't think it's how I've configured it as much as something with where I'm putting it not being supported.
