streaming h264 in iis7

Posted: May 4, 2009

I've been working on getting h264 streaming going under iis7, with mixed results.

I followed a link on the flowplayer site to code-shop.com and eventually came across this article:

http://h264.code-shop.com/trac/wiki/Mod-H264-Streaming-Internet-Information-Services-IIS-Version2

It has a section for downloading the 'H264-Streaming-Module ISAPI extension for IIS' but I don't see a link (I also checked the html source). According to the article the filename is: mod_h264_streaming.dll.

Does anyone know where I can find this dll (I've looked around the code-shop site but keep getting 'environment not found' errors)?

Thanks

arjen

permissions problem trying to pseudo stream MP4 in IIS7

I'm seeing this all over the place when it comes to IIS and pseudo streaming MP4 files... basically configuring code-shop.com's dll and following their instructions results in MP4 files not being recognised at all. Lots of people seem to be having this problem. Does anyone know a solution? The error is quoted below (this is from just even trying to view an MP4 file which before trying to configure IIS just came up in Quicktime!) --

Error Summary

Hi Andy,

Feel free to send me a private mail at h264@code-shop.com and we'll figure out the configuration issues that you're having. I'll make sure that I'll edit the documentation and post the answer on this forum as well.

Could you start by telling me a bit about your setup/system? That is: your IIS version, your windows version, 32/64 bit, the mod_h264_streaming version (iis5 or iis7), etc...

Hope to hear from you soon,

Arjen
