I think a swf plugin for remote configuration would be a good extension for embedded players. Often a person embedding the player could modify the plugins and remove things like wanted ads. If we could force them to load in the configuration remotely from our site, we could also force them to use a certain configuration. If one generates video links with sec_download the person embedding would be required to use the configuration to obtain the link to the video they are linking to.
