Immersive video?

This sounds far easier than it is to implement, but I'd love to be able to do immersive video in Flowplayer.

In short, if I could provide an video in equirectangular (e.g., a 360x180 panorama) format, having the player let the viewer look around and zoom in and out would be incredible.

There are a couple of commercial solutions that do this, but primarily they are turnkey.

Flowplayer is like a VCR: you load a video in it, and it plays start to finish. Or, you can use controls to skip past parts, and play others.

What you're talking about uses a different technology at its very base. There are a number of open source and free Flash panarama viewers - for example flashpanos.com. You may want to start there.
