You can see the video works fine here:

However no matter what I do, I cannot get it bigger on this page:

I deleted the video on the test page because I thought I found a fix but apparently it is just a wordpress plugin for blog posts only.

When I use the plugin I cannot get my video to show on the homepage but when I code it manually I cannot get the video to appear larger than 320x240.

So frustrating.

Hm, I can't see you using flowplayer on your homepage, but I would look into the scale parameter of you swf object; atm it's set to noScale.

Hey Chatyak,

I am the author of the wordpress plugin you are trying to use.

Currently for 2.0.x versions of the plugin the size is dictated by the embed tag.

[FLOWPLAYER=media.mp4,500,200]

Where in the above 500 is the width in pixels and 200 is height in pixels.

As noted here:http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/word-press-flow-player/installation/

Plugin homepage here:http://saiweb.co.uk/wordpress-flowplayer

Cheers

Adapt it as a buddypress media plugin

Please can you adapt it as a buddypress plugin whereby in the user profile the person can use it

BuddyPress will transform an installation of WordPress MU into a social network platform.

The doc for creating buddypress plugins
http://codex.buddypress.org/developer-docs/creating-a-custom-buddypress-component/

Any idea?

Hi Gpo1,

being as buddypress basically adapts wordpress to be a social network, there is no reason I can think of as to why this plugin wouldn't work 'out of the box'.

If this is not the case and IF there is enough intrest I will develop a seperate branch of this plugin to work with buddy press.

Hi gpo1,

there's a very big interest in media plugin for buddypress CMS

What are your sources?

Any evidence you could provide for this?

On their forums "flowplayer" is not mentioned once in thousands of posts, as their search facility proves:http://buddypress.org/forums/search.php?q=flowplayer

Unless you can back up the demand for this with some reputable source I am afraid I can not commit any development time at the moment to porting the plugin to buddypress.

If however Andy or anyone else on the devteam for buddypress want to get in contact with me to request a port to their platform, I'd be happy too.

Cheers
