Subdomains

Posted: Nov 8, 2009

I have a web site which has non existing subdomains and non countable . My asp.net - global.asa is handling all the request with a wildcard on DNS. All the sub domains generating depending of my client's needs. So do i have to buy commercial lisence for each sub domain creation or is 1 lisence enough for all this system ?

From what I understand as long as the subdomain/s is a sub of the main licensed domain the single license is appropriate.

asp.net <-licensed
sub1.asp.net
sub2.asp.net
sub3.asp.net All would work with the single license, Eg no logo ect.
