Flowplayer 3.1 inconsistantly loads in FF2 for Windows XP Created Apr 20, 2009

it appears to me that you have not updated your javascript located here:http://www.streetfilms.org/wp-content/plugins/flowplayer_wp/flowplayer/flowplayer.embed.min.js

This reports version 3.0.2, this should be updated to the 3.1.0 JS file, as quite possibly there is a browser detection occurring changing the method for loading the player.

Also I notice you are using your own wordpress plugin :-) (0.1), just to make you aware:http://www.saiweb.co.uk/wordpress-flowplayer will be updated to 3.1 by the end of this month, and has a horde of new features.

Good catch by Buzz that you're using an old js file. I found that you need to update all the support files with any new update, especially one as large as 3.1.

Anyway, I wanted to ask how you're testing IE6 through 8. Do you have separate machines, virtual machine, or are you accessing an online browser check that includes some reasonably updated version of Flash?

Re: IE6-IE8 testing. I have tested on on virtual machines. I am running VMWare Fusion with Windows XP on a Mac Pro.

I use vmware fusion on my mac and have images for Virtual PC (which I converted to vmware) that I downloaded from Micrsoft, search for something along the lines of "INternet explorer 6 virtual pc" they are free download and the conditions are they are for testing only, can not redistribute ... blah blah blah.

For IE 8, got my hands on a windows 7 beta :-)

I didn't read closely that you guys were talking about the embed plugin. My bad. I had read it as the flowplayer.js file. I don't think that if there's an issue with the embed script it would prevent the video from playing, since in runs on demand, just not getting the embed code.

Can FF2 render the video if you use the embed code that you get back from the embed plugin? That might narrow it down to a scripting issue rather than a FP 3.1 issue.

Thanks for the info regarding virual machines. I have a PLETHORA of PCs around here, but it's a hassle to move to each one to test. (And I don't have anything earlier than XP.)
