Some movies jump to end of clip by buffer size

Posted: Nov 20, 2009

Some of the clips we play in the player jump to the end of the clip when we have hit that many seconds out. For example, if we have a 60 second clip and buffer size of 10 seconds, then once we hit 50 seconds it jumps to the end. We are using the RTMP plugin. Right now, it is only happening with clips we have captured with clips via quicktime (on a mac).

Note: All the video clips (both problematic and otherwise) are being encoded with the same encoding recipe as FlixCloud.com to MP4.

Any thoughts?

I've never used FlixCloud but it sounds like its using a wide keyframe placement or somehow setting an incorrect end time.

Do you have any options when setting up your encoding params via FlixCloud?

I tried shortening the key frame distance. The player will work if you manually set the start the player within 10 seconds of the video's end, but only if you manually put it there. I will shorten the key frame even further to see if that helps.
