Cuepoints Re-Triggering After Playback Resumes

Posted: Nov 20, 2009

We use cuepoints to automatically pause the playback so users can read any important messages we popup (modal). When the user hits an "accept" button, the modal disappears and playback resumes. We use the javascript api to load the cuepoints.

PROBLEM: Many cuepoints keep "re-triggering" immediately after the user resumes playback. Sometimes a cuepoint will re-trigger 4-5 times before continuing forward... other times it works fine. Maybe there's an internal pointer issue when playback is paused too close to a cuepoint.

The problem effects both the audio plugin AND video player.

Here are two simple demonstrations of the issue.

Am I doing something wrong? Any help would be great... this issue is frustrating.

(Environment: WinXP, Firefox 3.0+, Flash 10,0,32,18, Flowplayer 3.1.5, etc)

Nothing from Flowplayer developers? Other people are experiencing a similar issue:

I'd sure like to avoid using the support channel for something that appears to be a Flowplayer bug.
