Problem with aspect ratio

Posted: Jun 15, 2010

I noticed a problem that always happens.
In practice, the image is stretched so the player has climbed the wrong size.
Watching him with another player, the picture is wider:

I don't see what the problem is. You have set clip: {scaling: "fit"}, and it seems to do the right thing. Under which circumstances do you experience stretching of the video? Which browser?

Or do you actually want the picture stretched, regardless of the aspect ratio? Then leave out the scaling because flowplayer's default scaling is "scale" which simply fills the canvas (bad imho, but perhaps many people don't care about the correct aspect ratio).

The media scaling to the correct aspect ratio for me as well.

Due to your content aspect ratio you could try adjusting the player width and or height to achieve the desired look.
