"Artman" and others:

I repeat: I'm not a programmer, and yet the more advanced setups have worked fine for me (yes, with a bit of work, but not TOO much).

The "stand-alone" examples in the samples are the best guides, I found. You can build up from those.

Will the player play .MOV in h264 or just .mp4?

Posted: Jan 11, 2009

I've been doing a lot of H264 coding which falls back to the .flv option when needed. Does it matter/will it work if it's .MOV/h264 as opposed to .mp4/H264? Does it make any difference?

Will flowplayer play the .MOVs as long as they're H264?

I'm not at all well-versed in programming, CSS, JAVA or any of it.

However, I've had no trouble integrating this player. When I haven't understood the directions, I just follow the examples on this site. Sure, it takes work... trial and error... but I've had very good luck and am very happy with flowplayer. I'm a satisfied customer.

That was it.

Thanks again for your help.

Was finally able to accomplish this with my clients' video sample page:

Very weird- can't get my playlisted clips to also do the "expose" effect.

Scroll down for the video samples.
Just submitted for its potential aesthetic merits -- you be the judge!

Also: new clients' page: (trying to make the player match the site look)

SOLVED.

I was neglecting to put the "commercial-flowplayer" in the swf part of the script as opposed to the regular flowplayer.

Silly. And thanks for your help!

Thanks so much-- I'm loving the player!!

I'll report back in later on if I'm able to get -both- the overlay -and- the logo working on this complex page.

OH! I see. I had my key in there, but not in the "head" script; I had it in the body script later on-- the script that configured the individual video itself in the overlay. I'll try this, though, and see what happens.

key/logo not working

I'm trying to use the overlay feature (which is working) on a new test page I'm doing, but when I add my new product key and a logo code, it only shows flowplayer logo. What am I doing wrong?

Fallback on v.3?

Posted: Dec 2, 2008

I'm wondering if there's a simple way to do the "fallback" to .flv encode in the new Flowplayer?

I see there's another post on here, but I couldn't figure out the simple answer from it!
Thanks!
