» Dynamic Video Size - auto-adjust?

Posted: Aug 24, 2010

Can this trick work for mp4 videos? My problem is that I have videos with different width and heights, and I don't want to manually key these values.

If Flowplayer could automatically detect these values it would be great. Html5 <video> tag can do it.

» Timer to display ads

Hi,

Thanks for your reply, I'll see how I can come up with a timer.

Yeah I know hulu, and I never tried to jump over an ad, I thought it would work unless you click to close to it, so that it would still get triggered.

Timer to display ads

Is it possible to set a timer in Flowplayer so that every 10 minutes the movie pauses, a video ad shows up (using content plugin?) then movie resumes?

Thanks for your answers

Sony Vegas MainConcept encoder.

Maybe it's not only the 64bits supports that helped. It improved moving from Vegas8 32bits on XP 32bits, to Vegas 9 64bits on Win7 64 bits. Vegas is also much more responsive than before and loads a lot quicker.

I think that Vegas9 32bits already has a good speed increase over Vegas 8 32 bits.

Put it another way: Vegas 8 was that slow, that 30% improvement was achievable ;-)

Okay I got it fixed, but I can't post how to do it, the forum constantly rejects me as spammer.

PS: Win7 64bits is very good for video editing if app supports 64bits. It cuts down by 30% my encoding times

Hi,

It seems there is a bug in Flowplayer's (javascript?) code with IE8. This page does not load:http://flowplayer.org/demos/installation/index.html

It works fine under Firefox. My Win7 is a really fresh install with default settings.

Up. An answer please. Is it possible or not to create an html playlist that references a specific time in the video so that the user can jump from one point to another just like a chapter would do.

Actually it doils down to:

1) Does flowplayer support html chapters that can control the seekbar?
2) Does flowplayer ship with means to do that?
3) if not, is there a javascript plugin for that?

Thanks for helping me out. I don't want to start working on that and suddenly discover that it already exist.

RTMP video with inner chapters

Posted: Oct 28, 2009

Hi,

Currently I have a player that has an html playlist, so a video is broken into let's say 10 videos that are different files. The problem is that between each jump from a video to another there is a little loading which doesn't look nice.

My goal is to have only 1 video file with some chapters associated, so when a viewer clicks on a chapter in the playlist, instead of loading a new video, it simply jumps the scrub bar to a new position.

Is that possible with Flowplayer? I haven't found any info the documentation nor the tutorials. I know JW flv can do that.

Thank you very much.

Lost navi buttons

Posted: Sep 26, 2009

I recently upgraded Flowplayer and other js files, and I just realized, my navi buttons are not longer getting generated. What happened? I can't find any documentation about it anymore on the website. Was it removed?
