Thanks for your interest. I used Adobe Illustrator and Cheetah3D for creating the jQuery Tools logos initial renders but then combined, recreated and basically enhanced the hell out of them in Photoshop using gradients, paths, and large as well as small, feathery brush strokes to create sharp edge flares and the illusion of soft lights shining through the transparent material. So you could say they're just as much hand-drawn as they are 3D image renders. I suppose the years I've spent retouching product photography had an effect in how these turned out.
