player downloads entire video before playing.

Posted: Feb 16, 2009

Hello,

I'm loving flowplayer, but have one issue.
My scenario: I have the following pagehttp://zimop.com/mediaupp/video.html

my video is hosted on my media server.

The problem is, the load times are pretty bad... it loads the entire video before playing.

Any suggestions?

Thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing from you!

First off, thank you so very much for your help so far!
I am completely new to ffmpeg and am in the process of compiling it...
But I wanted to ask you, if you don't mind. What configuration options do YOU use when building ffmpeg? I don't want to get this wrong..

Thanks,

hulu like interface?

Posted: Nov 20, 2008

Hey all, first off... Wow flowplayer is awesome!

But what I really want is a HULU looking interface, like onhttp://www.hulu.com. I tried reading the tutorials on this site but couldn't realy make heads or tails out of them. I'm proficient in css and html but not flash...
I also saw onhttp://chrisbrimelow.com/blog/?p=15 where ths fello made his own player to play .mp4 and made the interface like HULU...

any help?
Thanks!

where at?

Posted: Nov 19, 2008

I'm having the same issue, I am testing flowplayer on my website using a 720p Quantum of Solace flv I created.

I have the set deminsions of the player to 640x344, which is half the files true deminsions.

The video players flawlessly. You can see it athttp://www.zimop.com/videostream/

However, when I go "full screen" It stretches the video to fill the screen.

What I would like for it to do is fit to the screen ( if the users resolution is not as high as the resolution of the video, it would fit to it horozontally and stay in the same aspect ratio ).

I was looking for where tipiirai said to change the
clip: { scaling: 'orig' }

However, I do not see where I change that. I'm using the newest version of Flowplayer, downloaded today.

Thanks for the help!
