Features and benefits
- Multi-source Dynamic DeliveryTM: MediaMelon selects the best video source in real-time, within every playback.
- Improved Delivery Quality: Use MediaMelon's Quality of Service (QoS) console to configure performance parameters, and the system will dynamically choose the best performing CDN, based on viewer location.
- Failsafe Delivery: If one delivery network fails, MediaMelon automatically switches to a different network. Reliability is higher than utilizing a single CDN.
- Predictive Forward CachingTM: MediaMelon can successfully deliver videos in various bandwidth environments (e.g. wireless, dial-up, HDTV, etc.).
- Advanced Analytics: MediaMelon's unique delivery technology enables publishers to see more viewing data within each video, such as average viewing time and most viewed parts of a video.
- Advertisement: Publishers can better monetize their content by either placing in-stream advertisements anywhere within a video or use the interactive overlay ads that end-users can click to request information.
Their solution works with popular video formats, including MP4 and FLV, and allows dynamic seeking within the video.
Simple ways for you to provide videos for delivery
- You can FTP your videos to MediaMelon's servers. You will receive your FTP account when you sign up.
- Automatic upload through Flowplayer. If you already have your videos stored on a Web server, the videos would automatically be sent to MediaMelon's servers just by integrating the MediaMelon plugin with the player. When the video is played for the first time, the plugin will fetch a copy from your server and send it over for delivery from MediaMelon's network. Subsequent deliveries are done directly from the MediaMelon servers.
Email MediaMelon at flowplayer@mediamelon.com, and you will hear back within 24 hours.
