Easy way to add fade effect instead of scrolling?

Posted: Oct 6, 2009

Hello,

I am trying to find an easy way to make the scrollable content fade into the next pane instead of sliding over. I have a size of 1 for everything, so there is only 1 image shown.

What i want is when the user clicks the navi button for it to fade into the next image instead of sliding over.

Does anyone know an easy way to do this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Use Tabs instead of Scrollable, which has a slideshow plugin. Works great!

Is it possible to combine a slide effect on the left/right arrows with a fade effect on the navigator circles?

Is it best to do that with the scroller of the tabs slideshow?

I have two blocks.
One is with 3 images, which need to be scrollable with left/right arrows and another one with text, which should 'fade' when arrows are clicked.
For example - on 'right' click: new 3 images sliding and text in the second block fades out and new text fades in.

Is it possible to do this with JQTools?

Im assuming you mean two separate blocks, with text relevant to the images fading in/out when the image scrolls - you can do this by using 'Scrollable' for the images and 'Tabs' w/Slideshow for the text block. > address the 'Tabs' API in the 'Scrollable' onBeforeSeek event.
