My opinion would be that people will never see your portfolio. There is nothing there to give the affordance that your portfolio can be scrolled. I actually had to go back to re-read your post to see the word scrollable, so from a usability standpoint I really believe it misses the mark and it doesn't work.

I like it.

But I agree that you should tell visitors that its scrollable.

You did ask for feedback, why else would you have posted it here? I don't really have a problem with the visual design in general but the problem with the design is the interactions in that if a person does not know to use a mousewheel when the pointer is over the one image in the middle then they will not see the other images.

You have nothing on your page to indicate that that area scroll or even that the only way to do it is use the mousewheel. People will not understand how the site works.

were i say : scroll whit your maouse my images?
or two arrows one up and one down?

well.. i'm thinking about this... andit's possible...

i'm working on..

thank you.

You don't have to write it in text but there needs to be something to give the affordance of scrolling, at the moment there is nothing.

This doesn't really work for me either. The scrollwheel should be used to support navigation, not completely replace it, it seems like you are using the feature for something "cool" but are forgetting about usability.

I attempt to click the up and down arrows so to the user it is just as broken. To me you are trying to do the mouse scroll for the sake of it. It is not clear how to operate the ui. The Arrows should be clickable or maybe if a user hovers over the images you use a tooltip to tell them that they can scroll with mousewheel.

Also what happens, and I know it is reasonably rare now, but if the users mouse doesn't even have a scrollwheel?

Wow, i never tjink about this..
well you can use the keyboard arrow, but i can't set the right movment with this solution..

Some days ago, i tryed to put an tooltip on img.. but i can't.. remember i'm not a webmaster...

i think is possible.. but i have to study more...

Thank you for your idea...
